This past weekend was Easter, which we know it more as Resurrection Weekend. It is one of my favorite times of the year and holiday. The reason for it is because every year our church does a production. For the last 2 years I have been a part of the "crowd". This year, my sister and I were selected to be Mary and Martha in the "Miracles" scene. We run to Jesus and signal Him that our brother Lazarus is dead in the cave. Then we run to the cave and wait for Jesus to perform the miracle.
People often attend church for years and never really know anyone in the church. Some will criticize its congregation for not being friendly. However, many never reflect on themselves. Are they staying around after service to mingle? Or do they leave right away? Are they signing up to volunteer at an event? Or are they only a spectator? A taker and not a giver? It has been my personal experience that you get the opportunity to meet and fellowship with people the most when you are serving in the church. Especially when you sign up to be a part of an event like the Easter play. You are with the cast for several weeks at practice. Then by the time its the "big day" to perform, you already know people's names and possibly exchange social media or numbers. I encourage you to participate in the next event at your church. You will enjoy the experience. The best part of it is that everything you are doing is for the glory of God. Let me know how it went!
I personally had so much fun being in our church productions that I decided to share my experience by making a "Behind the Scenes" video. Click on the link below to watch it. Please subscribe to our You Tube channel too!
I also included the full production at the bottom so that you can see the entire thing. It was broadcast on Facebook Live by Crossroads Fellowship Houston. It is amazing!
