**This is a secular curriculum.**
Our budget is limited, so I always try to find free resources when I plan our homeschool curriculum. Since I used to teach high school Spanish in public school, I decided to create my own scope-and-sequence for Spanish 1. I didn't write the individual lessons. I simply searched online and organized them below. Use what is useful to you and skip what is not. I suggest that your student keep a notebook or binder with notes and handout print outs. I recommend to make it a requirement to write notes for all video lessons. Recording grades will depend on your state homeschool laws, so please do your research. For my student, I will grade certain assignments as daily grades and some as test grades (like the projects, etc). You can find already-made quizzes on Quizlet, Google, or TeachersPayTeachers. Week 1 for our family starts the first full week of August. We also have scheduled weeks that we plan to take off throughout the school year. Make sure to adjust the “culture” section to your school calendar so that the holidays match the week that you are on. The culture videos on this schedule are based on our school calendar starting the 1st week of August and our scheduled weeks off. I hope that this helps and blesses your family. Please leave comments if you have any questions, tips or suggestions! *Free e-Workbook

Hi, I am a new homeschooling mom for a 9th grade. Someone commented about your free resource for Spanish. My daughter is a ninth grader- this Spanish 1 is for 1 year? Do you offer a Spanish 2- she needs two years of Foreign language. Thanks!

Hi, this is amazing & so generous. I would love to have my son do your Spanish I curriculum, but I would need him to be able to do a Spanish II, as well. Any chance you have Spanish II?

It can easily be adjusted for any age. My 8th grader was able to complete it in one full school year. This year I started this curriculum with my 4th grader. We have stretch it out longer, repeating the song videos and adding more practice. He is autistic and so he has had language delays with his primary language (English). So I am sure he will take a little longer with a second language as well, and that is okay! It really just varies with each student. I think we will stretch this out for 2 or 3 years. Hope that helps!

Blessing to you, and thank you so much for a heart to share this helpful resource. I have two middle schoolers who are homeschooling for the first time. They were receiving Spanish while in public school, so I was concerned about being self-motivated to learn Spanish. I believe this will eliminate some of the stress: peace and many blessings.

I would like to Thank you so much for this course. I am in my second year of homeschooling and this is a great help. I have shared this page over and over on different homeschool Facebook pages. My son will be in 8th grade and use this as a high school credit. He is just as excited to start the course as I am. I cannot thank you enough.
