15 Quick Cash Ideas

1. Sell your clothes or household items.
You will be surprised on how much extra cash you can earn with the stuff you have lying around your house. Sell all of your unused and unwanted items. If you haven't worn or used it in over 6 months, maybe you don't need it. Not only will this give you extra money, you will also declutter your house!

Sell your gently used clothes on Poshmark. Personally, I prefer using the app on my phone, but you can also sell from your computer. (Use the code: JOYANDVALORLIFE to get $10 when you sign up). Use good, well-lit photos. For quicker cash on clothing, go to a local consignment shop.

Everything else can be sold on OfferUp, Ebay, Craiglist,  FB Marketplace.

2. Sell your hair.
Believe it or not but you can make good money by selling your hair on Hair Sellon. ​

3. Recycle used Smartphones.
You probably have used smart phones lying around somewhere in your house. Did you know that you can earn extra cash just by trading them in? Check out these sites: Gazelle or NextWorth.

4. Complete specific tasks on TaskRabbit.
If you are handy or good assembling furniture or hanging pictures, then you can pick up specific tasks on TaskRabbit and earn extra cash. 

5. Pick up tasks on Amazon's Mechanical Turk
With Amazon's Mechanical Turk, you can pick up tasks like tagging images or classifying receipts, or other tedious tasks that an employer does not want to do themselves. Check it out and see if there is something you can do to earn some extra cash.

6. Walk Dogs
Care.com is a good site to find dog walking jobs. It is a good way to earn extra cash and get your daily steps in.

7. Babysit or become a Nanny
If you are good with children, then consider babysitting or becoming a nanny. This is a good way to earn extra cash on the weekends. Check out Care.com to pick up jobs.

8. Clean houses
Another quick way to earn cash is by cleaning houses. You can find cleaning jobs on Care.com or Housekeeper.com.

9. Become a house sitter.
Earn extra cash on the weekends or through out the year by house sitting for people that go out-of-town. You may need to water plants or take out the dog, but it is an easy way to earn extra money. Check out Care.com or Housesitter.com.

10. Rent your stuff.
You can earn money by renting out your own stuff. Here are a few ideas.

• Rent your spare room or entire house on Airbnb.
• Rent your car on Getaround.
• Rent your camera equipment on KitSplit.
• Rent anything on Fat Llama.
• Rent your snowboard or bike on Spinlister.
• Rent your RV on RVshare.

11. Sell unused gift cards.
If you need quick cash, consider selling your unused gift cards that you received on Christmas or your birthday. You can sell them on Cardpool.

12. Donate Plasma
There are many places that pay you about $20-50 per donation to donate plasma. They may pay you more on the first donation because the process takes longer, about 2 hours.  If you meet the requirements, you can earn money and help save someone's life at the same time. The FDA allows two donations in a 7-day period, with at least 48 hours between donations. For example, if you donate on Monday, then you can donate again on Wednesday.
